Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sea Blast LTD ("kcaldata", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the kcaldata API and website (the "Service"). kcaldata is a machine-to-machine API and is not designed to collect personal information. We aim to process the minimum data needed to run the Service reliably.
Information we process
- Request content. The food-description queries you send (e.g., "2 large eggs"). Please do not include personal or sensitive information in queries; treat them as non-confidential.
- Technical request data. Standard information sent by clients — such as IP address, timestamp, requested endpoint, and user-agent — used to operate the Service, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
- API keys. If you are issued a key, we associate requests with that key to apply your limits and usage.
- Payment data (crypto). For paid endpoints, payments are made on a public blockchain (currently USDC on Base) via the x402 protocol. On-chain data — such as wallet addresses, amounts, and transaction hashes — is inherently public and is processed by third-party blockchain and facilitator infrastructure we do not control. We do not collect card numbers or bank details.
We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or account profiles from API callers, and the API does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use information
We use the above to provide and secure the Service: returning responses, enforcing free-tier and paid limits, preventing abuse and fraud, maintaining reliability, and complying with legal obligations.
How information is shared
- Infrastructure providers that host and deliver the Service process technical data on our behalf.
- Payment and blockchain infrastructure (the x402 facilitator and the public blockchain) processes payment transactions; on-chain information is public by nature.
- Legal reasons — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service, our rights, or users' safety.
We do not sell your information.
Retention
We keep operational and technical logs for 90 days, after which they are deleted or aggregated into non-identifying statistics. On-chain payment records are permanent and outside our control.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the data we process, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
The Service is operated from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and data may be processed there and in other jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service you understand your request data may be processed in these locations.
Children
The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because the API is designed not to collect personal data, we may hold little or none. To make a request, contact us at kcaldata@protonmail.com.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.
